“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on earth.” Marcus Bodnia, Head Of Sustainability at able®

Making sustainability a viable and financially sustainable business practice is vital for businesses to realize their full potential. It’s about finding innovative business models where sustainability is an integrated part of the business. Models where sustainability doesn’t become a matter of branding, but where the core product would basically fall apart if you took out the sustainability aspect. Our mission at able® is to create delicious and sustainable food experiences that create healthy change for people, businesses and the planet. We believe that we can make a difference together, plate after plate, bite after bite. To push a shift towards a greener future where nutrition, food waste and imprints go hand in hand with rich flavours, big smiles and global well-being. Many people want to eat more greens, more plant-based food, but unfortunately, there is this notion that eating vegan means eating like a rabbit. Being vegan becomes a compromise where the value of this impactful choice is overlooked. Taking action on behalf of the planet shouldn’t make you feel like you are missing out. It should be meaningful, and it should also taste good. By providing clients with lunches from our outstanding, hand-picked kitchens, that are specialized in vegan cuisine, we believe that we can change mindsets and convince people that eating vegan is nothing like a compromise. It’s a choice and a favour to yourself, your mind and your body - and at the same time, to society and the planet. This is a project with huge potential that will manifest into something that can make a real impact. able® does the daily catering for the lunch break at Talent Garden Rainmaking. It’s great because we are close to our customers and get immediate feedback. Instead of making a phone call, people can just come downstairs. In general, this is something that’s nice about this place. It’s interesting to have this concept of a community where you can pop into each others’ offices and ask for advice or challenge someone to a game of table football. It goes beyond being inside the same building - we are all starting, trying and messing up, but we are all connected on this road, this journey towards creating something of value. And we want to see each other succeed. For us, the biggest signal of success is to feel that we are wholesome in what we do, to feel authentic and sincere. That we don’t sell ourselves short and that we stand up for what we believe in. This means to lead from the heart and not from the mind. The mind is guided by ego, fear and often illusions, but the heart is guided by experience, love, and connection. This is not something you put in a presentation and show to board members; it is a daily practice.
